i have never been somone who puts others ideas down, although i have frequently killed my own ideas in the past, recently, i challenged this, and in discussions around services i would like to see provided, made a suggestion that led to offers of training, and volunteering. This is rather good for the confidence, so yeah, dont kill ideas, give voice to them, it cant kill us.I Baked, I Took, and i shared:)
I baked cookies, and chocolate flapjacks and took them to a little voluntary drop in i help out at, and shared them with people of all ages over tea and boardgames, and i felt so much better for seeing the smiles that it raised. I was amazed that something so easy, achieved something so big. i really have to do this more i think.i showed people parts of my history
I Showed a freind a video i made for BBC Video Nation on Suicide Prevention, and a testimionial about living with mental illness, and the ability to recover, cope and begin to move on, i gave to BBC Radio Leicester in 2006. I also made another freind laugh by a picture of me attempting to hold a paintcan and brush when i was about 6.I got people offline, on: Helped people utilise the internet to renew relationships
I managed to convce an elederly relative to go online, now he keeps in touch with distant relatives via email, keeps up with news, and enjoys Youtube, and is happier as a result. Ihave also helped a couple of others sign up to facebook, and rediscover old freinds, and distant relatives they had thought lost. Really precious, gave me a real buzz.I did This Action
i found it very interesting indeed to find uot i was living my life in such a way, that my carbon footprint is 7.22 tonnes of carbon per annum, and as if we had 1.95 planets! Pretty poor really, have to try much harder...
