I realised I'm really lucky!
Lately I've looked at my life in a different perspective and have realised I'm really lucky to have the luxiories (as my citizenship teacher told me!)that i do! I mean, you don't see a little african girl walking around her village listening to her touch screen ipod, do you? I feel quite ashamed, when I know I take what I've got for granted.I know i shouldn't but we all do it, don't we? I think all you can do is realise how lucky you are to have: a mobile phone or even a pencil case! I know it sounds stupid but it's easy to take even a pencil case for granted (children in African don't even have pencils because most of them are unable to get an education!)So next time you say to your mom or dad "it's not fair!" think about a young child in Africa and if they would say that!Don't take what you've got for granted and just...love your stuff!!!You can anything you set your mind to!
Well as I said I LOVE horses so this might sound quite predictable but here it is anyway...For the first time ever a couple of weeks ago I rode a horse(strange!lol!)wait for it...Bareback!
It may sound quite perthetic but It's still an acheivement and I've learn't that I should never try it again because of the pain it cost me!
Still it's good to at least try something new even if you think it looks or sounds imposible-you can do anything when you put your mind to it!
A marathon...DAD?
My DAD said one day he would like to run a full marathon but the best I've done so far is get him out of bed to go to the shops for milk and bread!Still, I managed to get him up!
One day he'll be ready for a marathon in the near and distant future!
So even just getting up in the morning and going to the shops-walking of course, not taking the car-is an acheivement for anyone! I even once got my DAD to go on his bike now thats an acheivement in it's self, for getting him on it, let alone ridding it!
You will make someones day!
Just say it and make someone happy and appreiciated xxxI got my brothers football team all to say thanks to thir coach!
Make others say thank you aswell and make them feel better!
How I made someone else feel beter!
I took time to work with a Primary school's after school club.I went every night after school and made some new young friends. They let me join in with them and by the end of the experience they didn't want me to leave! And now my brother goes to the club, the children I made friends with all run up and jump on my beging me to come back-It is such a great feeling!I would do it again if I could even if it was for mothing!
