Declining Bags has a bonus!
If you regularily a customer at Tesco or Sainsbury's Customer you could earn yourself extra loyalty points for declining bags and using your own.In Tesco you get 1 point per bag (Which is worth 1p in standard shopping, 2p in double rewards and 3p in partner rewards.)
In Sainsbury you get 1 point per bag (which is worth 0.5p in rewards)
[So it's more economical to shop at Tesco and use their clubcard]

With my local bus service, my local bus stop is just inside the maximum fare scale for my area, yet by walking 0.1Km I can save 20p per single way or 45p per return ticket, so I'm doing it for the health of my bank balance as well as my general wellbeing.I use bags I already own
Whenever I go shopping either for impulse purchasing or planned I tend to take a bag with me, I always go out with my messenger bag (ideal to carry my water bottle) and it can usually hold all my impulse buyings, i also use mostly the self-scan checkouts as you have the automatic choice of using bags as opposed to the wasteful packing styles of some checkout cashiers.Also when buying a sandwich or meal deal at some shops its easier to carry them in your pocket than contantly fishing around in a bag.
