Taking a ball away with you
I've never been very keen on the idea that you should take pens and sweets and stuff to developing countries when you visit. The image of "the everso generous westerner" lavishing sweets on kids seems a bit outdated.But playing a bit of footy with local kids...well that seems much more balanced.
And these wee blighters in ethiopia were way better than me.
