Action updated!
Britons work for nothing for an average of seven hours and six minutes each week. Everyone who leaves work on time just once a week has an extra 85 minutes a day to do other stuff.
This is one for the workers. When you leave work bang on time, people think two things.
One, that person has got their priorities right. They'll probably live longer then me and have a happier life. Two, wow, they've already got everything they need done, they must be hugely efficient and going to be running the company soon.
For the record, we're not advocating leaving work early to spend time with Mr John Smith, Mr Johnny Walker and Ms Mirnoff Red in The Dog and Fox. Curl up on the sofa with the people you love.
And if your boss stops and says 'What the hell are you doing? It's only half past three', get a new watch. But don't abandon the principle.
Thank you, we've recorded your complaint. If you would like to contact us, please email us.
