I give a little cause I only get a little..
I am only on income support (benefits) as it has been hard to find a job I could get where I live n I am also now pregnant..I would love to give more money to charity but unfourtuantely paying the bills, getting the bus, feeding myself and genrally living adds up to quite alot. As a rule I shop for the things we need at charity shops, and I have also started to buy items that are for cleaning n the like from oxfam as they sell really enviromentaly n ethical products. All of the babys things so far have been bought second hand either at charity shops, ebay and gumtree aswell. I have been donating £3 a month to the wwf for about 2 years now. Until this xmas I just gave £3 as a genral donation but as a xmas present for my partner I adopted him a tiger which is also a £3 donation. This meant that my partner who loves tigers n would love to have a pet tiger got to have a nice unique gift and a nice tiger teddy that he loves as part of the gift, and I am giving money to help tigers :). I think that next year when the donation can end for the tiger I may go back to just giving a genral donation as the wwf do an awful lot of work for the enviroment, people and animals so is a perfect charity for me to regualy donate to as they are the only one I support without a charity shop! 17 April 2011, 20:37I wish the NSPCC wasn't necessary ..
.. but sadly it is, so help them. £10 nowadays is less than a takeaway, so dump one takeaway treat and eat in and think how your £10 could be helping a new life have a better start in THIS country. 01 June 2010, 11:28re-cycle
