I love trees
Last week, I went with my family to the mountians to plant some trees, as there was much snow as an esplanade planted next to my house. It was fun,we laugh a lot and planted eight trees. This weekend, I may go and plant new ones.planting a tree
i planted 5 trees today 08 December 2011, 13:43Plant a tree
One of the things I do is try and rescue tree saplings from being continually cut down by a completely over zealous Gwynedd Council who like to think they are Green.I then plant them somewhere safe to grow on, especially in areas on hills where erosion takes place.I've been meaning to plant fruit trees by walkways for years but was prevented by lack of money, this autumn I will be starting to do this at last. One good tree to plant is the crab apple, which people often forget about.I also like to pick tree seeds in the autumn to plant. Here's one or two websites that can help you:www.treecouncil.org.uk ; www.woodland-trust.org.uk ; Also it's worth checking out on the internet about 'guerrilla gardening'.
National Tree Week is coming up: 27th Nov-5th Dec 2010.There is also a Seed Gathering Season and a Walk in the Woods Month. We need to plant trees on a massive scale now, as such a staggering amount have been cut and burnt down in my memory from the early sixties.Incidently, I love what everyone else is doing here.Very inspiring. 25 October 2010, 22:18

all about trees..
i love this idea because the more trees we plant the better the air as trees take out the carbon dioxide and put oxygen in the air. we breath out carbon dioxide and the trees breath it in. this helps the planet loads.. x 23 December 2008, 10:26Trees for clean air
I started planting trees when I had three small children. The first tree was a live Christmas Tree, and my babies helped plant it. This was in Pa. Since then, I have planted hundreds of trees in three states. They were a wide variety of trees from that first Christmas tree to fruit trees, and my favorite tree, the Corkscrew Willow. This year I grew six apple trees from seeds to be shared by four people. I will continue to plant trees and flowers every year until I no longer can. I hope this continues with my children and grandkids. 06 August 2008, 01:31
plant a tree
Each year I along with my youngest child plant a tree each wherever we are living. This has been going on for the last 4 years, and my son who is now 16 said that it is a tradition he will be continuing with his children. It's nice to know that a simple thing like planting a tree once a year will be be something my Grandchildren will be doing and it helps the earth too 02 August 2008, 22:09
Arbor Day Foundation Member
I have supported the Arbor Day Foundation in the States monetarily for years but this year I actaully ordered 10 trees from them. 4 trees I gave to my sister to plant in Vermont while the remaining 6 are in the 'tree nursery' in my back yard in Massachusetts waiting to be transplanted to their permanent home. 31 July 2008, 12:34
Plants a treat...
Have you ever been in the circumstance of having your friends birthday but they won't tell you what they want?
"So what do you want for your birthday this year?"
"Oh nothing... Seriously don't get me ANYTHING"
In my opinion if they say that they deserve to get nothing.
But what if instead you bought them something useful?
Like a plant?
It lives, it breathes, it needs looking after.
They'll love it! 27 April 2008, 11:00
