Action updated!
Every pair of specs recycled and sent out will help someone (with two eyeballs) see better.
They reckon 200 million people around the world need glasses every year, but can't afford them. People who can't see properly, can't do their jobs - and kids who can't see properly, can't learn at school.
A lot of people have an old pair or two lying around. And wearing two pairs at once unfortunately doesn't make you see twice as far. So send off your specs so they can sit on someone else's nose and help them read and write.

I love my specs
Actually I'm using my old specs. I don't know why but I really like my first ones. My mother bought them for me the first time she's realized that I've been short-sighted. They're so comfortable to wear. 09 October 2010, 14:45I'm looking through you

Recycled Glasses
I actually did this a few weeks ago and, since I don't see myself needing a new pair again anytime during my participation in Mission 101, I'm going to count that incident. Basically, all I did was get a badly-needed new pair of glasses and when I was getting ready to leave, I was asked if I would like to donate my old pair since the frame itself was still in good shape and the lenses could probably be repaired (the protective coating had begun to flake off). I said that I would and now, they're probably being put to good use again! 02 January 2010, 17:27Recycling

here in my country, actually in my home here in Argentina, we recycle the rubbish and since there is only one spot to do it, the people who take time to do them are very little compared to the size of the city (400.000)
so here at home, we recycle everything we can, from plastic to paper. 22 February 2009, 14:59
