I just finished your book "Change the World for $10". AWESOME and THANK YOU!!!!
Someone needed to do that. I'm sorry to admit that it never occurred to me. I've just wished more people would do what you dare us to do.
I am proud to admit that I already do many of the challenges you present--recycle my books, recyle my old electronics, recycle cell phones for service men no matter the shape they are in.
My favorite thing is pay for somebody's breakfast, lunch or dinner(snack) when I go through a drive thru. I've had people respond by honking their horns and giving the I Love You sign or leaving a note for me at the place of business. I had one lady leave a message saying when she was driving up to the window she realized she didn't have enough money and was embarrassed because her children were with her and she was either going to have to cancel the order or have 2 of them share. She said that no only did I give an excellent to her children but she was validated in her belief that there are "wonderful" people out there. Can you imagine how she made ME feel? For what one gets back the giving is dirt cheap!!!!! 06 May 2009, 19:54
Brushing your teeth
Hello. One miniscule life saving task to achieve is this. TURN THE TAP OFF WHILE BRUSHING YOUR TEETH!!!! It will save water!!!! Also always turn the lights off everywhere, and use a night light! 23 October 2008, 18:40What a day!
Yesterday, after walking the recommended 10,000 steps, I attended our city's Crawfish Festival. What an amazing interactive event that was. Not being able to resist, my friend and I joined in the line dancing and just had the best time for about an hour. It has been a long time since something so spontaneous was offered and I took advantage of it. Walking ten thousand steps isn't easy and it took me two hours to do it so to add line dancing to that was more than required. 03 August 2008, 12:58

Plant adoption!
The other day I saw a pot plant sitting on top of a rubbish bin in central London. It was a lovely big plant with thick dark leaves which were drying up around the edges and hadn't been watered for a while.
As I hate to see plants thrown away, I picked it up in order to re-pot it, water it and give it some TLC. I was wondering where to keep it as I don't really have much room in my flat.
I waited for my bus and as I got on the driver said, Nice plant, do you want it? I said, Would you like it? She was embarrassed, saying she had only been joking but I told her the story of the plant and handed it to her there and then.
She was delighted with the plant, which she loved at first sight, and I was delighted to be instrumental in finding it a new home! 10 March 2008, 08:18
You can make a difference
There is a beautiful waterfall near us,but the base was smothered with rubbish. It wasn't just small items, but oil drums, plastic and metal sheets, and loads of polystyrene amongst other things. Of course when the water was high, lots of it washed down the river. I discovered that it was coming over the top from a rubbish collection company, so I rang the Environmental department at our local Council. At first I was passed from person to person, but after a lot of nagging, someone took me seriousely, and made the culprits clear it up. What a result! 25 February 2008, 12:59
