Unless you check your pension is ethically invested, chances are you're supporting the arms industry and companies with poor human and environmental records. Now, this is a complicated area and even if you're thinking about your pension, you deserve some kind of medal. So, to make this as simple as possible, just ask your pension provider one question: 'Can you ensure that my investments don't harm the planet or hurt my fellow man?' If we all did that, pension providers would soon take notice.
But don't hang about. As Woody Allen once said, anybody who wants to know the definition of eternity should try spending an evening talking to a life insurance salesman.

banca etica
i know that my money will be invested in ethic bank 02 January 2010, 16:48Change of banks is not always easy_:)
I found that my bank was not being very ethical in its investments(arms, poor human right and environmental stuff). After sending a letter, the reply was "no change in foreseeable future".Since i can't leave because of the mortgage with them, I opened up a bank- and savings account with a bank that does score well. After my salary comes in, most of it is transferred to the other bank. Works for me: the other bank is supported, the other will be kicked out first chance. 20 December 2009, 14:07Ethical banking

it's not just pension funds that invest in bad things, ordinary banks do too. check your banks ethical policy and ask if theyre doing anything to help others. places like the co-op bank make sure your money isn't invested in any arms activities etc and they invest in renewables and do lots of recycling 21 September 2008, 10:18
